Who we are
Global Foundation for Agriculture Governance (GloFAG) is a non-government organization working to enhance the holistic approach of agriculture through 3Ps comprising policy, process, and persons involved in agriculture. The need of the organization is realized due to the fragmented work carried out by different organizations rather than a complete package required to address the current challenges of food supply, value chain management, upgrading productivity through sustainability, and innovation and technology transfer. GloFAG aims to bridge Asia, Europe, and North America in agriculture and its governance. The organization emerged at the forefront of the global food crisis due to war, climate change, and the global withdrawal of traditional farmers from agriculture causing price hikes in agriproducts. Farming and agriculture are not considered a respectful profession in many developing countries on one hand and the subsistence farming system could not enhance agricultural productivity on the other hand. Virtually, this phenomenon could not retain farmers in agriculture causing a high unemployment rate and trade deficits in the national economy of the country. To mitigate such challenges GloFAG is working to revive traditional agriculture by enhancing their productivity through knowledge and technology transfer and linking them with the global market. Besides, GloFAG is also working with local and international organizations, and different levels of government through need-based agricultural policies, facilitating farmers and the farming process.
